Overall, over a 50-year period, sedan vehicles were purchased and expected to be bought the most in the USA, showing the similarity with the rate of the UK. In comparison, in the USA, sports cars were sold and projected to be bought less compared to the UK where it is sold moderately and forecast to be more purchased.
In 2005, individuals bought SUV vehicles, which comprised a half of the USA’s types of cars, and it is anticipated to be purchased less than it, accounting for 37% in 2055. In stark contrast, the percentage of this type of cars was merely 14% in the UK, being projected to decrease by 3 percentage points. In addition, in the USA, sport cars were sold the least, being 4% in 2005 and anticipating to increase to 5% in 2055, while the proportion of sold sport vehicles were a quarter and expected to double in 2055.
The percentage of sedan cars which were sold in the USA in 2005 was under half, while it was 61% in the UK at that period. However the figures are expected to replace with each other with 58% of the USA’s sedan cars and 46% of the UK’s sedan vehicles in 2055.
