It is a frequent topic of discussion that is it better to learn a foreign language on your own with a private tutor at home or in a group at an institute.Some students think it is better to study with a private tutor, while others prefer the group at an institute.
On the one hand, the biggest utility of a private tutor is convenience.The environment is quieter in comparison to the group and the students will be more focused by their teachers.
On the other hand, the communication should also be taken into the consideration. When student constantly communicates with his teacher, it might lead to boring atmosphere. As a result, student’s interests in a learning language will decrease. Usually, the students who learn a foreign language in a group,they practise a lot with each other and competitive atmosphere in the group boosts the quality of knowledge.
Another factor against the private tutor is interruptions at home. The noises and bad quality of internet connection might lead to annoying situations while lessons.
In conclusion, I think it depends on which one is preferable for each individual. For introverts whom feel embarrassed to express their opinions among a lot of people the private tutor preferably. However, for learners whom enjoy competitive atmosphere and fascinating topics to discuss with their fellow learners the second option is more suitable.
