The maps illustrate the changes in an area before and after the construction of a hydroelectric power plant.
Overall, the area has undergone significant changes, with several new industrial facilities replacing some of the original features. However, certain elements have remained unchanged.
In the past, the river flowed through the middle of the area, with mountains located in the northeast and a forest to the west of the mountains, adjacent to the river. A national park was situated below the forest, and a historical castle stood in the southwest, diagonally opposite the mountains. There was also a bridge spanning the river, connecting the western and eastern riverbanks. On the eastern side of the map, farmland was situated between the village and the mountains, with the village itself located near the bridge.
Following the construction of the hydroelectric power plant, the area has changed considerably. A lake has been created along the river, below the mountains and forest, and a hydroelectric dam has been built at the river’s mouth. The national park and historical castle have been replaced by new facilities: a power plant and a transmission tower, respectively. On the eastern side of the map, the farmland has been cleared, and a hotel has been constructed in its place. Despite these changes, the forest, mountains, village, and bridge have remained in their original locations.
