The plans illustrate the changes in the Beachwood farm between 1950 and the present day.
Overall, a comparison of the two plans reveals a significant transformation from a simple farming area into a more commercial and industrial zone.
In the year 1950, Beachwood Farm was a simple agricultural area with no shops, parking, or camping fields. However, over the past 75 years, the farm has undergone several significant changes. The most noticeable is that the whole sheep farming area is being demolished to make way for the Camping field and Solar panels area. In addition, the old trackways around the farm were converted into proper roads. Moreover, a new farm zone with a farm shop and several parking spaces sprang up along the road.
In contrast, the Barn was removed and replaced by two roads, located next to the Farmhouse and Chickens. In its place, a row of Holiday cottages was constructed.
Some of the areas stayed without any changes, like Fruit trees, Soft fruits, and vegetables along the river. On this side, a farm shop next to Fruit trees, and on the other side of the road, parking was placed, which is located in a camping field and one large tree.
