The diagram compares layouts of a pre-school classroom in 2010 and present day.
Overall, the classroom experienced substantial changes through the period, especially with the removal of a play area and a teacher’s room, as well as the addition of new shelves.
In 2010, play areas were located on the top left, top right, and bottom left of the classroom. In addition, three sets of tables and chairs were located at the central position. Moreover, shelves were placed at the windows on the left of the classroom. There was a teacher’s room on the left of the classroom. An array including a whiteboard, art area, adult sink, and children sink was positioned on the right of the classroom.
Over the period, the play areas on the top right and top left of the classroom remained intact, while the play area on the bottom left of the classroom has been replaced with a new smaller set of tables and chairs. The centered set of tables and chairs remained the same, whereas one set has disappeared. New shelves have been added on the left of the classroom, and two shelves have been put horizontally. The disappearance of the teacher’s room has made way for the relocation of the other set of tables and chairs. The array on the right of the classroom remained identical.
