Lssons i’ve been taught as an employee
Have you ever worked as a teen-student? Just think what problems can arise in the easiest area of management?Based on my observations and experience, I will narrate the reason for my desire to end my activities in this field.
My interest and inclination to earn money led me to the intention of working at a university, in the youth policy department as a manager of arrangements.My main task was to organize events for professors, students and staff on holidays or another occasions . My actions in university played a cruel joke on me, exactly on my school performance. I was pressed on time to get my hometask done, as my job set occasions on me. I must’ve done the work in time, so had to take loads of work with myself, to complete the Objectives. Difference between my strong academic performance before and after conjoining school activity with university was huge. Another problem was accumulating with students, as they did not perceive me as employee of the department. After some time, many students got used to the fact that they would have to talk and communicate with me, but their initial mistrust of affairs prevented the development of work situations.Therefore I thought of a pause , as my time schedule became more complexed overtime.
My responsibilities at the university included :developing and conducting offline and online events, planning expenses, searching for contractors, designing locations.Which allowed me to develop the following skills; business writing , teamworking, digital literacy, leadership skills, negotiation experience.
All those facts raised doubts in me, as a result of which I decided to take a break. I’ve learned how to make serious decisions, approach tasks with a sound mind, learned how to comprehend new heights through your work. This experience was most important for developing my communication abilities,critical thinking and diplomatic skills. I am grateful for my employer for giving me such opportunity.
