To be honest, nowadays, technologies are designed to help with manual documents like Excel, while technology is unable to produce creative or innovative ideas. The reason they keep pushing employees to come up with more innovations or developments in their opinions is to stand out among their colleagues and bring more desirable outcomes to the company as a whole.
