The line chart illustrates the attendance rate at GYM among four age groups over a-19 year period, starting in 1984.
Overall, all age groups, with the exception of 46-65, experienced an increasing tendency to go to the GYM monthly. Moreover, it is noticeable that people falling into the 26 to 45 years old owned the highest attendance rate at GYM.
In 1984, the proportion of people 18-25 years old was the second lowest at 15% but this figure dramatically scaled to nearly 57% in 1999 and then continuously increased to 65% in 2003. This figure was observed by those 65 years old which stood at nearly 5% in 1984 and increased to about 15% in 1994. However, the proportion of people who attend the GYM in age groups 65+ which slightly declined to 10% in 1999 and then significantly rose to 20% in 2003.
The rate of people visiting the GYM in age groups 26-45 was the highest figure in 1984 standing at 30% which was a half of that figure in 1989, and then significantly increased to 55% in 2003. In contrast, the percentage of people in age groups 46-65 slightly rose from approximately 25% in 1984 to 30% in 1989 but then this figure dramatically decreased to 15% in 2003 which was once half that in 1989.
