I'd like to talk about sugar cane. I think this plant is essential for human survival. We can see sugar cane everywhere in China, especially in the south of China. In my province, in my hometown, it is quite ubiquitous. I remember when I was young, there was farmland in front of my grandparents' house. I remember we usually chewed on these sugar canes to get the juice, and it was such a fun time. Sugar cane is about 5 meters tall, greenish, and has many joints on it. The reason why it's important is that it is the main ingredient in sugar production. Sugar is actually very important for all humankind. For example, when people bake cakes and make bread, they always need sugar. I think it's a staple not only for humans but also for poultry and other animals. That's why I think it's quite important.
