The bar chart depicts the rates of employment of the 25 to 34-year and 55 to 64-year-old people based on the highest level of education in the years 2005 and 2015.
Overall, the job opportunity rates have increased significantly in both categories, regardless of the education qualification. Moreover, the younger age group has more placement rates than the older age group in comparison.
At the outset, in 2005, individuals between 25- 34 with below upper secondary education had the lowest rate among the other qualifications with more than 60%. However, it dropped to around 57% in 2015. In addition, upper secondary graduates covered almost 80% in 2005 and declined to slightly above 70% in a decade. Post secondary non-tertiary had the highest employment rates in both the years with approximately 85% and 86%, respectively. Also, tertiary was almost at the same level as post secondary in 2005 but moderately decreased in 2015 to around 85%.
On the other hand, in the older age category (55-64), tertiary had the highest employment with more than 60% in 2005 and climbed to 65% in 10 years. Whereas, below upper secondary had the lowest rate with just 41% in 2005, which surged to almost 50% in 2015.
