This picture depicts the a cross-section of a camera. Overall, this camera has seven parts labelled.

First, the light comes in thorugh the lens elements from where it reaches on to the rotating mirror. Behind the mirror there is digital sensor and close to it is the shutter. Furthermore, the light travels from the rotating mirror to the pentaprism through the focusing screen.

Finally, The eyepiece is above the digital sensor, the image we see through the eye piece is the reflection we see from the pentaprism. The focusing screen help to make sure the correct and sharp imae falls on the pentaprism. The rotating mirror allows movment according to the need of the user, the movement is in 2 direction in a limited angle. The lens elements make sure correct amount of light is falling into the rotating mirror and thus reaching the sensors. Digital sensor can help in making the final image better.
