In addition, the amount of expenditure on hamburgers by the high income group and average income group was the highest. By contrast, the figure for fish and chips by low income attracted people more than others.
Regarding the expenditure on fast food by the high income group and average income group, the figure for hamburgers in the high income group was the highest, with approximately 47 million pounds, compared to about 38 million pounds of that in the average group. The amount of money spent on pizza by the high income was the second highest, at 18 million pounds, closely followed by the figure for fish and chips with 16 million pounds. While, the expenses on fish and chips by the average group stood at 25 million pounds, which was significantly higher than on the pizza, at 13 million pounds.
By contrast, in the low income group, the amount of money spent on fish and chips was the highest, at 23 million pounds, closely followed by that on hamburgers with 14 million pounds. Moreover, the English low income group spent the lowest money on pizza, at 8 million pounds.
