It has always been a concern about an adequate utilization of the energy in order to conserve the environment, but people have not shown any positive behavior regarding it on their daily live. However, this is happing due to negligence of the public, incentive and awareness campaigns can be significant steps to mitigate this habit.
The prime reason of this phenomenon is lack of awareness among the people. This is to say that, the responsible authorities are unable to have effective communication with the general public about the important and challenges that ought to be face due to scarcity of the energy and how this leads the environmental impact such as climate changes and so on. For example, In Nepal, wood is the great sources of power in rural area; this has caused the deforestation and loss of the species and animals. Therefore, lack of the knowledge among the individual make them ample use of the energy which leads consequences in environment conservation.
There are several steps that can be carried out to motivate the public towards the protection of the environment through the energy consumption. Firstly, awareness campaign should be done in each corner of the country by the coordination of researcher and government bodies. As this facilitate the people to obtain the idea about the alternative sources of energy such as wind, solar etc which has less impact on the climate. For example, EU nation like Denmark has installed the wind energy and promote the benefits to use this power in daily life. Thus, public campaign could be an appropriate initiative to solve this issue and protect the environment. Secondly, government should commence the punishment and incentive policy in the country. This means that, people should be monitor through the assist of local bodies and provide the certain money who takes the care of the resources and vice versa.
In conclusion, in my opinion, insufficient environment campaign is the major issue of high use of energy and negative impact on environment. Strict rules and incentive policy will certainly help to combats with is issue.
