Overall,
In 1920 refigerator’s percentage in households was zero percent. Nevertheless, in 1940 the percentage is increased to around 55%. After that, in 1960 it reached a hundred percent, and since then did not declined. The percentage of washing machines on the other hand, in housholds was 40%. It increased to 60% in 1940, and 70% in 1960. Interestingly, the percentage in 1960s dropped from 70% to around 65%. In 2000s reached again 70%, and slightly increased by the 2019. The vaccum cleaners’ percentage in housholds was 30% in the early 1920s. Then, it steadily increased, showing increase for 10% in every decade until showing a hundred percent 2000s, and remained the same in 2019.
Number of hours of housework per week for a household was 50 hours in 1920. In 1940s around 35 hours. Following the decades, 1960 and 1980 showed 20 and 15 hours respectively. In 2000s it remained stable and showed 15 hours as well, however in 2019 the time dropped to only 10 hours per week.
