Overall, the population of individuals in New Zealand in all group contributed the largest share, while 65+ accounted for the smallest share.

In 2011, at the top of the table was “all ages” group which made up approximately 4.381.269, while the population of 65+ age group contributed a small figure to roughly 573.946. The percentage of 15-39 age group was significantly higher (1.577.256) than that of under 15 group (898.160).
