A few months ago, my close friend invited me to visit a studio shop located in the suburbs of our city. When I arrived at his shop, I was stunned by the objects and things that he had carved. I would like to tell you about one particular carving of an African lion that was truly amazing. I was fascinated by this carving. It was carved from an oak tree and it really depicted a little lion. I have been to the game park several times and I have seen a little lion, and this captured the essence of it. The artist was able to include intricate details, like the teeth, and you could feel that this was really hard work. It was painted a brownish color and was mounted on a wooden base. I asked my friend how long he spent on this particular carving, and he told me that it took him months to perfect it.
