Many people hold the view that life will be much challenging by using technology, so it should be gotten rid of. Although I agree that technology causes complexity in people’s lives, I still believe the advance of technology brings many benefits to residents.
On the one hand, there is no doubt that job displacement can occur due to the development of technology. The function of technology, including better productivity in work as they can work out the situation more quickly and more efficiently than human. Because of this, humans can be replaced by artificial intelligence, so that this can cause job unemployment issues. As a result, many people will suffer from stress and debt because they can’t earn money anymore (but people who work in the I.T skills can be beneficial as they are exposed to technology almost every day).
On the other hand, I do believe that without technology, our society can become worse and worse. First of all, people can get access to a huge amount of information through the technology (Internet). Engaging with those can help users to search for facts rapidly and make them understand the problems by providing clear images and videos, which conventional method (books) can’t do. In addition, the Internet can foster people’s connection through some in-direct communication ways : texts, social media,… instead of meeting face to face or sending posts. By doing so, we can save our time due to a fast pace of delivering messages. For instance, in some emergencies ( bad weather ), if it had not been the help of technology, many people couldn’t have contacted other people (families, organizations,…) to seek help.
In conclusion, due to aforementioned reasons, it seems to me that although life can be more complicated while using technology, life won’t become simpler if people destroy technology (life will even worsen)
