The charts portray information related to honey-producing colonies and honey production in the five American states within 2006. Overall, it can be clearly seen over other states, North Dakota recorded the highest number of bee colonnies which led to highest honey production in the market share.
To begin with, within a year, North Dakota seemed having 350,000 bee colonies and selling more than 25 Millions pounds honey, ensuring its position on top. Despite the comparable production record with Montana with contrast number of honey producers, South Dakota topped the second rank. It accounted more than 200,000 bee groups and produced nearly 10 Millions.
On the other hand, Minnesota witnessed a relatively steady trend with more than a hundred thousands bees that resulted in 10 Millions pounds of honey production.
