Overall, the shares of online sales for each sector changed considerably in the given time period. The percentage of sales for home furnishings and electronics and appliances fell in comparison to those for food and beverage and video games.
While in 2005 electronics and appliances took up the largest share of the online sales at 35%, in 2010 it dropped to 30%, ceding its spot to food and beverage sales which experienced a dramatic increase of 22% to 32%. Home furnishings, with the second highest percentage in 2005 with 25%, fell to last place in 2010 with the most significant decrease in the graph of 10%. Finally, video game online sales grew from 18% to 23%.
