The flowchart depicts the cyclic pattern of tiffin supply of Mumbai Dabbawala in three major point- collection, aggregration, and destination points .
Overall, the cycle initiates from collecting tiffins from homes and sorting them based on code system for different railways location. Lunch boxes are delivered at designated destinations and returned to homes by evening.
The first step, collection points where tiffins are collected from different houses by certain person which takes place between 9 to 10 AM, to be delivered before luch hours followed by sorting process based on coding system categorized as aggregation point. All tiffins are sent to special compartments of railyways station as per as there destination zones such as; Central Railway, Harbourlane Railway and Western Railway.
The lunchboxes reaches towards their respective destination points by lunch time where the tiffin are distrubuted among office employees based on the code in that tiffin. All the boxes are returned to the homes by evening and the cycle continues next day on a never ending cycle.
