Tourism is one of the resources of funding in one’s country. Abound of countries are exploring tourism to gain more profit and help locals. Though, some areas are now crowded and natural habitats are destroyed to accommodate tourist. This essay will explore the rationale behind this perspective.
Traveling is one of the habbies of most of people. Exploring different places to know their culture and take the time to unwind. Filipinos are one of those who love to travel, within or outside their country. Many popular destinations in Philippines are targets of locals and foreigns, like Boracay. The beach is the attraction to this destination. A lot of tourists visit the areas most especially during holidays and summer. Due to number of people exploring the place, a lot of waste are not organized and created polution to the sea. This resulted from over-tourism.
The government took an action regarding this matter and implemented no structure should be near the shore and certain fines to those caught on loittering. This somehow minimize the area where they can stay but it resulted in sustained environment. Descipline is key factor in every situation. Change is a constant force in our lives, so have to move to make a change. Now, Boracay is clean and tourism has been sustained.
In conclusion, though tourism helps local to gain income, we should still be responsible of our nature, same goes with tourist. Someone have to take the initiative for change. Income and care to nature can go hand in hand. We just have to look for ways.
