This picture depicts the flooring plan of a library in 2001 and how it was later on renovated in 2009.
Overall, the blueprints show that there has been significant changes in the west side of the library. Moreover, there are also numerous sections that have been introduced such as the children’s area and as well as a computer section.
In 2001, the left side of the floor only included two genres: history and self-help. The tables in the middle are not joint, and on the right side of these tables are shelves that contain newspaper and periodicals. Furthermore, in the upper zone of the library is a shelf with fiction literature.
In 2009, there have been several developments such as the addition of genres to history and self-help. Additionally, an area to use computers have also been constructed to the library and the tables in the middle of the room have also been rearranged to accomodate more people. A children’s area has also been built in front of the division with tables that replaced the fiction shelves. The newspapers and periodicals have also been replaced by films & DVDs to fit more recent trends.
