The line graph compares the number of inquiries received by a city’s Tourist Information Office over a six-month period in via three channels: in person, by telephone, and by letter or email.
Overall, enquires made in person were the most common and became the predominant method by the end of the period, while enquiries submitted through letter or email declined steadily and became the least frequently ussed method of enquiry.
In January, telephone enquiries was used more often , at approximately 900, followed by letters/emails at around 750. While approximely 400 enquiries were made in person. However, over the next two months, a significant growth was seen for in-personnel enquiries reaching roughly 800 in March reaching its peak on the end of the period, with nearly 1,900, overtaking the other two methods.
In contrast, inquiries made by letter or email fell consistently, declining from nearly 800 at the beginning of the period to just under 400 in June. Telephone enquires on the other hand showed an overall upward trend, rising from about 900 to approximately 1,600 by the end of the period.
