The bar chart compared how much people in three income groups in the UK spent on Hamburger, Fish & chips and Pizza in 1990, whereas, line graph illustrates fast food consumption in the UK from 1970 to 1990.
Overall, it can be seen that spending on fast food was generally higher among people with higher incomes. Hamburgers were the most popular product for both high and average income groups, while pizza was the least consumed fast food across all incomes. Regarding to fast food consumption, hamburger, fish and chips shows upward trend, while the reverse was true for consumption of pizza.
Hamburger were the most commonly consumed fast food among high and average income earners with about 42% and 32% respectively, while it was cosiderably lowest consumed by low incomers, just 19%. Simlarly, fish and chips were ranked second in terms of consumption, especially by average and low incomers, 25% and 17% respectively. Notably, the lowest consumed product was pizza by all three incomer groups except high incomes earners(19%).
Turning to the fast food consumption in the UK. Fish and chips consumers started with approximately 80 gram per person and signifacantly increased by 500 gram per person and turned to the highest figure by the end of the period. Which was closely followed by hamburger consumers, started with 50 gram per person, steady increased and reached almost 300 gram per person. Notably, the lowest figure was pizza consumers. Started with 300 gram per peroson and slightly decreased over time and was about 200 gram per person by the 1990.
