The pie charts compare the proportion of ingredients of meals called sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar, all which may be unhealthy if people eat too much.
Overall, sodium had the biggest percentage in dinner, while it had the smallest share in snacks and breakfast. Additionally, added sugar recorded a largest proportion in snacks, whereas the opposite was true for breakfast.
Starting with dinner, the percentage of sodium started 43%, compared to that of saturated fat, at 37%. Meanwhile, added sugar accounted for 23%. For lunch, the shares of sodium and saturated fat stood at 29% and 26%, respectively, while sugar contributed 19%.
Regarding breakfast, sodium recorded 14%, making it slight lower than saturated fat which made up the same figure with added sugar, at 16%. For snacks, added sugar had the highest percentage, at 42%, which was twice as high as saturated fat, at 21%. By contrast, the figure for sodium was 14%.
