In 1962,highest proportion of immigrants were from Italy who moved to Australia which was about 40%and declined by20% in 1982.After that there was moderate decline and by 2002 the percentage of iltalians shifted permanently to settle in Australia was 15%. The proportion of New zelanders immigrants to Australia decreased from 8% in 1962,to 6% in 1982 and near about 4.5% in 2002.

India had the least proportion ,who moved to Australia in 1962,was 2% .which increased by 15% in 1982, after that , showed small drop and reached 14% by 2002 .The brithishers and vitenamese immigrants jumped from 10% each in1962 to 17%and 25% respectively in 1982. After that the percentage decreased by 12% collectively in 2002.

Overall,Indians and Italians immigrants showed the most deamatic changes over the given period time.
