What I would say is that it has changed a lot. In the past, people would stick to their own country. But today, a lot of people are going abroad to obtain dual citizenship. For example, Filipino professional nurses would like to go to the UK or the US, not only for jobs but to secure citizenship. They are aware they will gain many benefits. It’s also a good feeling to become one of the citizens in a first-world country.
