I would like to talk about a memorable piece of advice that I gave to my friend. Sam was preparing for a high-level exam. He found it difficult to prepare for this exam, and he wanted to pass it with flying colors. When he came to me, I advised him on the areas where I was knowledgeable. I started by explaining to him how to write Task 2, giving him the main points to consider when writing this task. First of all, I encouraged him to start with a good introduction, and then the body must have two paragraphs explained with examples, and finally, it should have a conclusion. Some found this to be a piece of cake. So the next thing I advised him about was listening; he should avoid structures like repetition of words and sounds that seem similar but have different meanings. Sam was taking note of what I was telling him, and I actually thought it would help him a lot. I took time to explain everything concerning IELTS, which actually prepared him to tackle some odd questions. For the writing section, I gave him an assignment to work on so that we could discuss it together and analyze the mistakes he was making. My advice to him was to put in full effort because I had trained earlier and knew all the tricks that the examiner was using. So those are the memorable pieces of advice I gave to Sam.
