The given bar chart describes by age the percentage of Canadian Adults over 18 years old in 2018 who were clissified as either overweight or obese. There is a general trend of greater weight with age. In addition men are consistently more inclined to be overweight than women.
First, only about 30 percent of the population of men and women in Canada between 18 and 19 years old is overweight or obese. However, weights almost double to a peak of about 65 and 77 percent for women and men, respectively, who are aged 50 to 64. After that point, there is a slight decrease in the proportion of men, though that of women remains relatively stable. Furthermore, there is a noticeable diffrenece ‘by gender. To be specific, at all ages, more men that women are overweight. At ages 18 to 19, the varience is a mere two percent, but the average difference for all ages is aproximately ten percent.
Looking at the chart, it is clear that overall, the Canadian population gains weight as it ages, with men more inclined to be overweight than women.
