The one graph illustrates the number of people participating in four different sports(basketball, tennis, badminton, and rugby) in a particular region from 1985 to 2005.
Overall, rugby was the most popular sport at the beginning of the period, but its participation declined significantly over time. In contrast, badminton and tennis remained relatively stable, while basketball consistently had the lowest number of participants. In 1985, rugby was the highest number of participants at approximately 80, followed by badminton at around 140. However, rugby experienced a sharp decline, falling steadily to about 160 by 2005. Meanwhile, badminton showed only minor fluctuations, decreasing slightly to around 125 in 1995 before recovering to approximately 140 at the end of the period.
Tennis followed a similar trend to badminton, with participation dropping gradually from about 130 in 1985to just over 100 in 2000, before rising again to around 120 in 2005. On the other hand, basketball had the fewest participants throughout the period, decreasing from roughly 70 in 1985 to about 50 in 2005, despite as slight increase around 2000.
