Last Monday was my first day as a chef accountant after moving from my previous role as the beauty audit manager. I had worked in audit for about 10 years including six years as an audit assistant and four years as a manager. I decided to to take on this new position, mainly because of my personal situation. I have the young children, so I need to more stable schedule to take care of them. At the same time, this change also fits my long-term career plan, as I want to ship my forecast from auditing to finance. On my first day I was still finishing some of my business tasks by waiting for the head of the from the former chef accountant. To be honest I feel a bit nervous at the first because I wasn’t sure if I could handle all the new responsibilities. However, thanks to the support and encouragement from my colleagues, I gradually felt more confident. In the near future, I hope to complete the handover quickly, adapt my new role, and meet the expectations of the company and the board of directors.
