The chart illustrates the percentages of overweight adult people in Japan, Finland, Australia, and the US from 1 980 to 2000.
Overall,the percentage of overweight adults increased in four different countries over the period, but the growth in the US was more considerable increased.
In 1980 , the USA had the highest percentage (around 15%) , while Japan had only 2% . Whereas, Finland and Australia had approximately the same percentage(around 7% in Finland and 8% in Australia).
By 1990 the figure in Japan remained unchangend at 2%, while other three countries continued to rise and stood about 8% , 11% and 24%. In 2000 the figures had been changed, the USA finally recorded the greatest percentage at 31%, followed by Australia at about 21%. Lastly, Finland increased slightly to around 11%, while Japan remained the lowest level at 3%
