Looking at the details, theme parks were the number one destination with 38% of all visitors. Museums and galleries came as the second most favored place, with just 1% below the first rank. The two remaining tourism accounted for just a quarter of the total with historic houses and monuments reached nearly two-fifths of total tourists. The least visited was wildlife parks and zoos recorded at below one-tenth.
In terms of popular sites in theme parks, blackpool pleasure beach attracted significant people and reached almost half of the total visitors. Alton towers and pelasureland placed as the second most visited by 17% and 16% respectively. Conversely, chessington world of adventures and legoland gained fewer tourist with one-tenth for each sites.
