I am from Ukraine, and my parents were raised during the times of the Soviet Union, which definitely impaired their vision of life, work, and profession. I suppose that for a person born in the 21st century, my horizons are definitely limitless. I always expand my horizons, and it's hard not to when you have all the opportunities of the modern world with the internet and globalization. In the Soviet Union, all of that was pretty much unavailable. There was a deficit of everything, and all the possibilities were literally limited to Russia and Ukraine. Even if you wanted to study somewhere to get a degree, the furthest place you could dream of was probably the nearest city to you. That's why acquiring and pursuing a degree was much harder. In my perception of the world, getting a degree is probably the most important step to being successful. Thank you.
