There is a common belief among elderly people that it should be compulsory for students to wear school uniforms. However, majority of teenagers prefer to choose their clothes on their own .From my perspective,it’s better to let teens decide for themselves considering modern society.
Those who support requiring students to wear certain clothes seek equality and social cohesion. Given the increasing of social-media impact ,parents worry for their children more,wanting to prevent bullying and harassment for outfit choice.For example,in schools where uniform is a must,less students encounter verbal abuse from peers. Therefore, a healthy environment is provided.
However, it’s common for students to rebel against uniforms,pursuing freedom. Nowadays teens are expressing themselves in their style. In addition,it is proven that individuals feel at ease when the choice of closing is ensured. In my opinion, it’s better for school management to allow students choose their clothes by themselves.
In conclusion,although having uniforms has a certain advantage for social equality, I strongly believe that it is crucial to give teenagers an opportunity to stand out.
