The diagram illustrates the process of making electricity with the help of geothermal power plant.
Overall, there are different stages in which water passes and become steam in the last stage. Also, there is a generator which plays a key role to generate electricity.
Firstly, cold water is pumped down to 4.5 km distance in the earth. Secondly, when it reaches to the injection well, it passes through geothermal zone where cold water converts into hot water because of the hot rocks. After that, passing through hot rocks, it stores in the production well. Thirdly, hot water pumped up towards a condenser where it becomes steam.
Moreover, a turbine is rotated by hot steam which is directly comes from a condenser and it is also connected with a generator. So, a generator is powered by a turbine and produces electricity. Finally, generated electricity goes to many places with the help of a tower.
