Overall, the figure for cars was dominant throughout the period, while train and bicycles showed a significant increase all over the period. Meanwhile, tram figures fluctuated in the first half of the period and rose slightly. By contrast, bus and motorcycle decreased.

Regarding 1990 to 2005, the car figure decreased slightly in 1995, from 35 million to approximately 33, and rose to 40 million in 2005. Train usage started with 15 million and increased gradually to 25 million. The bicycle category started with approximately 7 million and doubled to 14 in 2005.
