In our developing world, health-related issues are becoming more and more common including obesity and there is a contradiction between people who are in favor of treating people with obesity and who think promoting healthy lifestyles is a key factor influencing one’s well-being. In the following paragraphs I will be discussing both sides and giving my own opinion.
On the one hand, many people believe that medical treatments have a great impact on obese people’s healths and it is the best way to cure them as promoting healthy lifestyle may be ruined by lack of consistency and the results are not affective and durable. For example, if a man with a lot of weight gets motivated and starts following healthy lifestyle, he can do it for a very short period of time due to lack of desire or when he reaches his goal and becomes healthy, he is more likely to lose his activeness and get back to the previous daily routines and gain weight again.
On the other hand, If people are inspired to try healthy lifestyles and follow healthy habits it may be beneficial positive for people themselves and local economy. First of all, people lose their weight in a healthy way, if they work out and eat protein and nutrients. Besides, it is a great way to save money for both individuals and governments, as they do not have to produce and purchase expensive medical treatments. Furthermore, it may be also beneficial for environment, if we do not produce waste materials by chemicals and medicines.
In a conclusion, I would say encouraging people to better lifestyle is more effective and profitable for everyone and implementing healthy habits instead of medical treatments is the best way to help people with obesity.
