Overall, all subjects had lower average scores after the retake with the significant decrease of Maths and History scores – two subjects dominated highest average scores in the first exam. By contrast, other subjects such as Literature, Chemistry and Geography changed their scores more slightly.
Beginning with Maths and History, these two subjects had the highest average scores at first with 9,58 and 9,31. However, after the retake, the History’s average score went down tremendously to 5,55, nearly the lowest score, while the Maths’ score decreased for over 3 points to hit 6,24. Similarly, Biology’s average score also decreased remarkably from 8,78 to 5,87 after the retake occurred.
As for the remaining five subjects, those whose average score just went down slightly for just over 0.3 point to just over 2 points. Noticeably, while Chemistry and Geography’s average score decreased just more than 1 point to 7,53 and 6,77, the Literature’s score just decreased for only 0,35 point to hit 7,18, predominating the second position after the retake. In terms of Physics and English, these two subjects witnessed a decrease for just over 2 points to 6,64 and 5,46 after the retake.
