How the government should spend its money has become a debatable issue. Many individuals think that those in power should spend more on space exploration, as the rest debate that their funds should be invested in addressing issues on Earth, for example, poverty and environmental changes. In my opinion, the authorities should invest more in those who are suffering.
Firstly, the state should focus on helping those who are in need to improve their living conditions, and this will reduce the number of poor people in society. Providing affordable education and offering vocational training to young people will help them to get the knowledge they need and can use to find jobs or create some for themselves. This can increase employment, improve income, and reduce dependence on the government.
Many communities are facing global warming, and it is the duty of the ruling body to bring solutions. The government should spend resources on protecting the environment and helping communities to adapt to climate change. For instance, they should encourage the youth to plant trees, engage in cultivation, and adopt ways to conserve the environment.
On the other hand, the authorities can spend their fund on space exploration; thus, it can lead to discoveries such as new technology and economic opportunities. However, the administration should focus more on how to reduce poverty.
To sum up, it is important to use the money on something that will benefit the community at large. Focusing on how to reduce the level of poverty and climate change will bring positive change. Not ignoring the benefits of space exploration, I go with what is more urgent and important which is poverty and climate change.
