Overall, both temperature levels and the amount of sunshine increased towards the summer months before declining during the remainder of the year. Rainfall, by contrast, generally fell during the first half of the year before rising again towards December.

During the first half of the year, both temperature figures rose steadily, with the maximum increase from around 5oC in January to 15oC in June and the minimum climbing from approximately 1oC to 8oC. Average daily sunshine also increased from one hour to six hours. By contrast, rainfall declined from 11cm to a low of 6cm in May, before rising slightly to 6.5cm in June.

In the second half of the year, the maximum and minimum temperatures reached peaks of approximately 18.5oC and 11oC respectively. Sunshine followed a similar pattern, peaking at 15 hours per day in August before falling to just one hour by December. Rainfall, however, generally increased, reaching its highest level of 12.5cm in December.
