Overall, in Glasgow, the temperature and sunshine hours share the same patterns due to the increase over the first 6 months and then fall after that. While there is hotter between June and August, December and January appear to be colder because of low temperature as well as rainfall
In the first 3 months, the average temperature has increased steadily, from around 3oC in January to 5oC in March. The average sunshine in March also increases by 1,5 hours compared to that of January while the average rainfall drop from 11cm to 7,5cm. Subsequently, in summer, both the average temperature and average sunshine continously rises and reachs the highest number in June, at 20oC and 6 hours per day. Meanwhile, the average rainfall remains stable, around 6cm.
In the next 2 months. while the maxium temperature slightly reduces, the minium temperature reachs highest in August, approximately to 10 degree C. The average rainfall also surges to 10cm in July while the average sunshine peaks to 15 hours per day in August. In September, Glasgow enters the winter with a decrease in both average temperature and sunshine hours. This trends continue until December while the average rainfall slightly increase.
