Over the years, climate crisis is established as a long-term threat for the world’s future. To overcome that, my two cents are the trilateral cooperation between government, business holders, and individuals. It will also critically delve into the possible solution to facing global environmental crisis.
Firstly, government as policy-maker is responsible to the environment of such country. Likewise, it decide how its society behave to natural surroundings, garbage rules, and the evolution of land to the residence. If government itself fail to create a suitable and comprehensive policy, it can affect how the carbon-related industry such as mining, coal, palm oil, and offshore drilling in their operation. Furthermore, the sanction weakness enhance the possibility of environmental-issue crime. Therefore, the government needs to take a tight and assertive reproach to reduce the chance of environmental damage. For instance, in Indonesia, there are a thousand of environmental crimes because of the synergize of the fall off law sanctions and also hidden syndicate to undermine the land or forest. To minimize the destructive effect for the ecosystem-wellness, government should consider policy for carbon market to minimalize the carbon dioxide proceed by a particular industry.
As we get to the different context, business also in relation with the existence of government, which they are closely related to them regarding to the licensing issue. Indonesia has a countless illegal company which take their action directly on the environment. In such condition, the company identical to the human-needs fulfillment, such as palm oil industry undeniably release the carbon which harm the environment. As a responsibility to saving the environment and life nearby, company should provide Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives such as reforestation, garbage recycling, sanitation, and create fuel-efficient network.
Lastly, individuals is the component that directly behave towards its decision in keeping the environment healthy. They are highly required to protect their surroundings. Individual can take small steps, including choose sustainable living, implement the reduce reuse recycle method, and reduce electrical usage.
