Some bosses think that employees’ social skills are more crucial than their degrees. I agree with this statement, because it is important for workers to be in a good relationship and also, academic qualifications do not show how smart the person is.
Good environment in a company guarantees their better performance and consequently, more income for employers. Communicating with your colleagues is significant due to the shared experience that can be applied to any sphere, including economics or even drawing graphs. If workers can understand and be polite with eachother, then there will be no conflicts, which in turn could lead to a chaos. For example, Oxford Univesity’s study has shown, that almost 70% of the “Herbalife” corporation’s wealth depends on employees’ relationship, because they are not afraid to test new ideas in using different nutriients, that they knew about from colleagues.
There is a popular opinion that individuals with no education are not as smart as they might seem, but is actually not right. Academic qualifications only show the grade in particular subject that person got at university, but not his general knowledge level. Also, people can leave their universities due to its’ uselessness for them. For instance, Elon Musk dropped out of his university because it was not necessary for him and today he is the most famous entrepreneur in the whole world.
In conclusion, academic qualifications are not as important as they might seem, but social skills are, because they affect the overall result of the company. Also, job applicants should not be judged, based on their grades.
