In my view, this opinion is flawed , because accumulating wealth is in human nature and the growth of economy helps in this venture.

Economic success allows for the availability of highly paid employment in almost all sectors of jobs. Thus citizens can afford an increasingly extravagant and lavish lifestyle. Additionally,making a bigger wage is associated with a higher level of respect in certain societies and this elevates their position in the society which boosts their ego self respect. Moreover, financial stability allows for enhanced quality of life and a greater level of satisfaction.
