I have always fascinated by Japanese culture, especially Japanese manga and movies. About two years ago, I decided to learn Japanese language. Although I had learned some Japanese words and phrases, I needed to start learning from the beginning. My friend, who studied Japanese language in college, recommended me a YouTube channel and I decided to give it a shot. I found a video lessons to be useful and informative. The teacher had an extensive vocabulary. She focused on grammar and pronunciation as well as word collocations, which are so important to have a good command of a foreign language. After six months, my Japanese started to improve rapidly. I was able to have a basic conversation, which made me feel proud and happy. After visiting Japan a few months ago, I had a sense of accomplishment. Being able to communicate with locals made my trip more memorable. This experience has really shown me the importance of finding the right source when trying to learn a new language.
