The bar chart compares 3 nations, namely the USA, China and India in terms of wheat, barley, rice and other grains production in 2001.
Overall, the USA contained the highest figure for total agriculturAL production. By contrast, the amount of yields in India was the lowest.
In 2001, USA was the leading wheat producer, with around 3.5 tonnes produced per hectare, which was 1 and 2 tonnes higher than that of China and India, correspondingly. The production of barley also mirrored a similar pattern, albeit a HIGHER degree, with approximately 7 tonnes yielded per hectares in the USA, 6.5 tonnes in China, and only around 2 tonnes in India.
Different from the previous grains, the rice production in China outweighed that of USA, with a yield of 6 tonnes per hectares, compared to 5 tonnes per hectare of the USA. India still produced the least, yielding only 1 tonnes per hectare. In terms of other grains, however, USA and China had the same production rate, with 9 tonnes per hectare each, while India only had around 2.
