Overall, the graph illustrates an increase in fast food consumption in Britain between 1970 and 1990. In the beginning fish and chips were pretty popular but they started to slowly go down over time. Hamburgers and pizza began to rize at the same time, hamburger becoming the most consumed fast food. The graph also shows the increases and decreases that happen within 5 years.

Fish and chips were shown as the most consumed fast food in the beginning of 1970s. But by the end of 1975 they started to gradually decline, dropping to nearly 200 grammes. While fish and chips were facing their downfall, hamburgers on the other hand shot up to the top in the beginning of 1980 , becoming the first fast food that has over 500 grammes. Pizza that was had the least amount of grammes started to gradually go upwards in the beginning of 1985, surpassing fish and chips and becoming second most most consumed fast food in Britain.
