So one of the most important skills that I've learned is appreciating myself to the people who I don't particularly like. For example, when I was getting older and becoming an adult, I didn't really talk to or charm people because I didn't care. I would go to offices, banks, or any kind of service provided by others, and I wouldn't talk to them nicely or anything. I wouldn't have been rude, of course; that's not what I mean. But I've realized that when you're dealing with people, it doesn't hurt to be nicer, you could say a little overly nice, because it actually has a lot of benefits. When you make someone's day a little better, they, in turn, will do the same for you, even if they realize it or not. So I think it is very important when you're living in a society; it makes other people's lives better, for example, the service workers or the people in banks or offices. It also usually makes your work get done faster and better. I learned this from watching my parents and older people around me.
