Plastics are incredibly durable and lightweight, which makes them ideal for packaging, transportation, and even construction. Another advantage is their versatility. They can be molded into different shapes and sizes, which is why we see them in products like bottles, containers, and even life-saving medical devices. On the other hand, plastics may harm and have serious disadvantages. For example, plastics take hundreds of years to decompose, which may contribute to long-term environmental pollution. Additionally, plastics can be dangerous for marine life and wildlife because discarded plastics can be ingested.
